πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί Throwback Thursday: Adelaide Adventures Down Under January 2025

Some trips just live rent-free in your memory β€” and our time in Adelaide, Australia definitely makes that list. It was one of those vacations where every day felt easy, full, and unforgettable.

We kicked off our trip with our great friends Paulette and Hamilton, flying into Adelaide to meet up with our dear friends Marcel and Ania β€” who we first met years ago in London and who’ve since returned home to sunny South Australia. They greeted us at the airport with the kind of warm welcome that only old friends can give β€” then promptly whisked us straight to their beach house, where the ocean breeze, wine glasses, and laughter started flowing instantly.

From the moment we arrived, Adelaide delivered on all fronts. We spotted a koala lounging in the wild, watched kangaroos hopping across the road like it was the most casual thing in the world, and somehow managed to squeeze in both a tennis tournament and plenty of time relaxing by the sea.

Of course, no trip to South Australia is complete without some serious wine tasting, and the McLaren Vale region was everything we hoped it would be β€” rolling vineyards, long lunches, and that perfect golden afternoon light. Each glass seemed better than the last, and every view begged for another photo.

Evenings were spent BBQing and sharing stories, lingering over delicious dinners at incredible local restaurants, and laughing late into the night. It was that perfect blend of adventure and relaxation β€” the kind of trip that reminds you how lucky you are to have friends who feel like family, and a world full of places worth exploring again.

Here’s to Adelaide sunsets, Aussie wildlife, and good friends who make every mile worth it.
