On September 7th, 2025, Loki and I embarked on a grand adventure—by Sound Transit Light Rail Link, no less. Our mission: to travel from the shiny new Lynnwood Transit Center all the way down to SeaTac Airport… and back again.

First impressions? The train was clean, spacious, and practically sparkling—like someone had just whispered, “Let’s impress Loki.” (Mission accomplished.) Loki immediately claimed his seat like he was the king of the carriage. Honestly, I think he was disappointed there wasn’t a velvet throne.

The ride down was smooth and easy, giving us plenty of time to admire the Pacific Northwest rolling by outside. Loki, however, was more interested in sniffing the air vents, because apparently public transit air is packed with mysterious stories only dogs can decode.

And then it happened. Somewhere near downtown Seattle, the carriage suddenly transformed into a blue-and-green sea of Seahawks fans. Jerseys, face paint, foam fingers, the works. The energy was electric—like we’d stumbled into a moving pep rally. Loki’s eyes widened, tail wagging like, “Finally, my people!” I swear if someone had tossed him a football, he would’ve tried to run a play right there in the aisle.
The fans filled every corner of the train, chanting, laughing, hyped for the game. Loki soaked it all up, accepting pets and compliments like he was the team mascot. One fan even joked, “He’s good luck, we better win today!” (You’re welcome, Seattle.)
By the time we reached SeaTac, Loki was thoroughly convinced that the Link wasn’t just public transportation—it was his personal parade float. On the ride back north, the train was quieter, calmer, and gave us time to reflect. Clean, efficient, on time, and just the right amount of excitement.

So, verdict? 10/10, would ride again. Loki’s already lobbying for a Seahawks jersey for his next trip.
