Banana Fever Hits Seattle: Our Day with the Savannah Bananas đźŤŚâšľđźŽ¶

Yesterday, Seattle wasn’t just about coffee, rain, or the Mariners—it was about bananas. And not just any bananas, but the Savannah Bananas, baseball’s wildest, wackiest, and most entertaining show on dirt (and sometimes on rooftops, dance floors, or in the crowd).

Pregame show was awesome! So much energy and fun

We rolled up not knowing exactly what to expect, and walked away with our cheeks sore from laughing, our phones full of videos, and our new life motto: “Go Bananas or go home.”

From the moment the players took the stage in their bright yellow uniforms, it was clear this wasn’t your average ballgame. There were dance-offs, sax solos, conga lines, and enough glittery chaos to make Vegas blush. The crowd—banana suits, cowbells, and all—was fully in on the fun. At one point, I wasn’t sure if I was at a baseball game, a comedy show, or a pop concert. Spoiler: it was all three.

The highlight? Watching little kids on their parents’ shoulders copy the Bananas’ dance moves while the band blasted brass-heavy anthems. Even the grumpiest Seattleite would’ve cracked a smile (and maybe a hip) trying to keep up.

In the end, the Bananas reminded us that baseball doesn’t have to be all stats and strikeouts—it can be joy, music, and a whole lot of silliness. And honestly? That’s the kind of game Seattle didn’t know it needed.

So yes, we went bananas yesterday. And if you ever get the chance—grab your yellow gear, practice your TikTok dance moves, and join the party.

🍌✨ Banana verdict: 10/10, would peel out for again.
