This past weekend we traded in the car keys for e-bikes and hit the trail with our favorite co-pilot β Loki! From Woodinville to Redmond, up to Bothell, and back again, we cruised through 20 miles of sunshine, fresh air, and just the right amount of pedal assist.

Loki took the best seat in the house (or should we say basket), leading the way from up front. Tail wagging, ears flopping, and eyes locked on the road β he was clearly the star of the show. We got so many smiles and waves along the way that weβre convinced he could run for mayor of the Sammamish River Trail.

The trail itself was stunning β winding rivers, shaded paths, and plenty of spots to stop and soak it all in. Between the laughter, the breeze, and Lokiβs curious head tilts at every new sight, the miles just flew by.

After conquering the loop, we wrapped things up with lunch at Woodinville Cut Shop β the perfect reward for a 20-mile ride. Itβs very dog friendly and we both agreed it was the best quesadilla weβd had accompanied by fries, and cold drinks which hit the spot. Loki supervised clearly wondering why no one was offering him a bite.
All in all, it was the perfect mix of adventure, exercise, and family time β and something we canβt wait to do again. If youβre looking for a fun way to explore the Eastside, grab an e-bike, bring your pup, and make a day of it. Trust us, the smiles (and the food at the end) make it 100% worth it.
